Seminar presenting Approximating $f$-Divergences with Rank Statistics, joint work with Viktor Stein. The talk introduced a rank-based approximation of $f$-divergences that works directly with rank histograms, avoiding explicit density-ratio estimation, and discussed extensions to high-dimensional distributions through random projections.
